Now I know that below freezing temps are nothing to you hardened northerners but those of us down South do not like the cold.

Temps were below freezing this morning -3C( not sure what that is in Fahrenheit) and not go beyond double digits today...
Expected temps tomorrow will be in double digits- yay
must now stock up on winter supplies- torches, LPG gas heaters etc, as we often have power cuts in winter due to the high demand, aging infrastructure and other issues :-))

As I type this I have exploding stuff on my head!
I am colouring my hair. One of the things I do to cut the cost of this rather expensive enterprise is to put half of the box on my head every 3 weeks instead of the whole box every 4 weeks.
In order to do this you can only mix the amount your are going to use(hair colour normally has both a developer and a colourant) because if you store the mixed concoction it will explode!
I was explaining this process to DH- he looks at me rather incredulously, as if he cannot believe his wise wife is telling him this- and says “ You mean you actually put exploding stuff on your Head!!
Perhaps I should just go grey before my 40th...

My house is full of newspaper!!!!!!
My Dad reads at least 3 different papers a day as well as what he can get online-they have retired comfortably and can afford it – but the clutter!!!
I read all my news online- for free. I figure if I'm going to pay for Internet access I'll use it to cut other expenses.

My parents have been visiting for the last 10 days- has been good fun. My Dad just loves being on the Internet and because we have ADSL not dial up I haven't seen much of my screen for the last week.
My parents taught me to be to frugal so it was not a expensive stay at all- also we were invited out a lot as they used to live in this city- so lots of meals out with friends,at their houses. It has been lovely having them here but now I am going to rest!
